Archbishop Desmond Tutu, along with seven other Nobel Peace Prize winners, are hoping that Prime Minister Stephen Harper will do what he can to stop the rapid development of the oilsands.

A letter was sent to the Prime Minister, signed by laureates from seven countries, including the United States.

Three weeks ago, a similar letter was sent to US President Barack Obama, urging him to block approval of the Keystone XL pipeline extension.
