If you know a person or group of people that should be recognized for the work they do in Wood Buffalo it’s time to step forward.
The municipality is accepting nominations for the Citizen Recognition Program until the end of September.
“We live in a region full of amazing people that make outstanding contributions in all of our communities every day,” said Mayor Melissa Blake. “The Citizen Recognition Program celebrates these special people, so I encourage residents to make a nomination and say ‘thank you’ for helping to make Wood Buffalo even better.”
Nominations can be submitted online or picked up in person at 9717 Franklin Ave., the Jubilee Centre and Timberlea Landing or at a Rural Municipal Contact Office.
Nominees will be recognized at a celebration next winter.
