NWT Premier welcomes pipeline

The Premier of the Northwest Territories says if B.C. doesn’t want an oil sands pipeline, send it north.

Bob McLeod told the CBC this weekend that he would support a northern route to take bitumen to the coast for export to Asia.

Alberta Intergovernmental Affairs minister Cal Dallas says the province would be willing to look at that option.

The feds have set a deadline of December 31st of next year for the joint review panel’s report on the Northern Gateway line through BC.
