Occupation Health and Safety has issued a stop use order for a palate lift at a site north of town after a man fell 16 feet Friday.
It happened around 3 pm at the ConocoPhillips site.
The man, from Phoenix Industrial Maintenance fell off a platform that he was installing the lift on and seriously injured his arm and back.
He was taken to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, and later moved to a hospital in Edmonton.
OHS is still investigating.
