The Fort McMurray Oil Barons continue to make lineup changes as they continue to search for their first win of the season.

Head Coach Tom Keca continues to tinker with his lineup in dealing 19-year-old centreman Jake Wozney to the Weyburn Red Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

“As a coaching staff with we want to be fair to players and I don’t think that with the addition of Sharf and some other things that we have on the go currently I don’t think that we were going to be able to give Wozney the ice time that he would want,” said Keca.

Wozney picked up two assists in the Oil Barons five games to date. He scored six points in 13 games with the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League last season before being sent to Junior ‘B’.

“We thank him for his time here and we wish him all the best in Weyburn.”

The Oil Barons next game is against the Brooks Bandits as they host the defending South division champions on Friday night.
