Oil-by-rail terminal costs jump 40%

The company that wants to build Canada’s first oil-by-rail terminal says it’s going to cost 40 percent more than it first expected.

Canexus Corporation says it’s now expecting to spend 315 million dollars to build the terminal in Bruderheim.

It started loading its first shipments in December and the company expects to ship 30 thousand barrels per day by February, expanding that to 100 thousand bpd in the middle of the year.
