Oil sands to benefit whole country: report

A new report from the Conference Board of Canada says the oil sands benefit much more than just Alberta.

The think tank says the industry will support an average of 100-thousand Canadian jobs per year over the next 23 years – a full percent of all jobs in Canada.

Alberta will get just over half of those benefits.

But the rest of the impact will mostly be in Ontario and British Columbia.

It says the industry will inject 364 billion dollars into the economy.
