Opposition attacks the oil industry at economy debate

Thomas Mulcair believes that the oil sands are something future generations will be cleaning up.
Reports say that during an economy debate, Conservative MP Chris Warkentin accused Muclair of wanting to go after the industry in Alberta by putting a dollar sign on carbon emissions.
Muclair said that future generations will be quote “left with a bill of tens of billions of dollars”
He added that they will have to cleanup destroyed ecosystems.
The Conservatives were also accused of favoring the oil industry with grants and driving exports of oil and gas.
