15 months after a kidnapping in Abasand, two men have been convicted.
41-year-old Darryl Kavanagh is guilty of uttering threats, and unlawful confinement – he’ll pay a $100 fine, serve one day in jail, be on probation for one year and is prohibited from owning firearms for a year.
38-year-old Colin Furber is guilty of assault – he’ll pay a $100 fine, serve 44 days in jail and will be on probation for a year.
All other charges were withdrawn.
The victims in the crime suffered minor injuries.
