Wood Buffalo RCMP have arrested a man in connection with the assault on a cab driver last weekend.
Police say they arrested 27-year old Peter Delaney of Fort McMurray on Monday and charged him with aggravated assault.
The assault allegedly happened last Saturday near the Ace Inn downtown.
The 62 year old cab driver had been found lying on the ground near his car.
He’s now in serious but stable condition in a hospital in Edmonton.
