Property taxes hold steady

For the seventh straight year, residential property tax will not be increasing in the region.
Municipal council passed the 2012 tax rate bylaw, which also holds property taxes for business steady for the third straight year.
Although the tax rate has not changed, you may end up paying more in taxes because the market value of your property increased.
Also included in this year’s tax bill is the provincial education tax, which is collected by the RMWB on behalf of the provincial government.
