A man is in stable condition in an Edmonton hospital after a near drowning in a Boyle area lake this past weekend.
RCMP say Friday, police and emergency crews responded to the lake, and STARS transported him to the hospital.
Police say the man’s safety was ensured by quick action of nearby people.
RCMP remind boaters to know what’s legal when it comes to alcohol on a boat, as well as have all safety equipment on board that is up to code.
Operators can be fined for offences under provincial and federal legislation and might even face a mandatory court appearance.
