Premier Alison Redford says she won’t be raising royalty rates on energy companies.
Experts are meeting in Calgary this weekend to try and solve the province’s financial problems.
Redford says the government has to support the energy industry.
Raising royalties could help deal with the 6-billion dollar revenue shortfall the government is facing, but it could also hurt growth in the energy sector.
