Premier Alison Redford is hinting at her government’s support for more Chinese investment in the oil sands.
While on her trade mission in Asia, Redford met yesterday in Beijing with Chinese government and business leaders, who made the case for CNOOC’s 15.1 billion dollar bid to take over Nexen.
Redford said she believes those transactions are the best for the Albertan economy, and that the government had already met with CNOOC before the Nexen deal.
