Research shows hands-free technology isn't safe

There’s always someone driving in Fort McMurray but a new study says even hands free technology doesn’t make it safe to talk and man the wheel.

Researchers at Georgia Tech say your brain goes into an exclusion zone when it’s on the phone, and focus goes only to the call, even if you’re trying to think about the road.

But it says talking to passengers isn’t as dangerous, because they can be a backseat driver.

You are reminded that even holding your phone while driving is illegal and can result in fines.
