Review process resumes for Enbridge

The final hearings of the environmental review process for Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway pipeline resumes in B-C next Tuesday.

They started in Edmonton last month and will finish up in Prince George.

Issues surrounding environmental protection and emergency preparedness will all be up for questioning.

Concerned groups have voiced their issues about the potential of oil leaks on land or a tanker spill off the coast.

The company’s western access v-p says that it wants to show British Columbians that the project can do a lot of good to the economy and still protect the environment.

Enbridge says that the project is strategically important because it will open Canadian oil to the Asian marketplace.
