RMWB gets innovation award

Wood Buffalo’s been named one of the most innovative municipalities in Alberta.
The Alberta Urban Municipalities Association gave the city an honourable mention in the category because of its Social Prosperity Wood Buffalo initiative.
The five-year partnership between the city, United Way, Suncor Energy Foundation, and University of Waterloo is aimed at increasing the capacity of non-profit groups in the region.
Mayor Melissa Blake was on hand to accept the award.
