Community builders were honoured by Mayor and Council at Shell Place Thursday night as the RMWB held its annual Toast of Champions ceremony.
A total of 23 individuals and groups were celebrated, with eight profiled as successful recipients who are:

- Tania Dashcavich
- Sana Elache
- Dutche Iannetti
- Malja Najmi-Beauchamp
- Regina B. Oppon
- Kelli Stewart
- Candace Sturgess
“I always look forward to meeting our region’s most outstanding and passionate citizens,” said Mayor Melissa Blake. “I want to congratulate all of the nominees and recipients, and thank them for dedicating their time and talents to making our region such a wonderful place to call home.”
Nominations for next year’s program will open in the summer.
