Rod Loyola joins NDP leadership race

Another candidate is putting his name into the race to lead Alberta’s NDP party.

Last night, Rod Loyola announced he’s running to replace Brian Mason.

Loyola is the president of the Non-Academic Staff Association at the University of Alberta, and is the NDP’s candidate in the Edmonton-Ellerslie riding for the next election.

Loyola says he wants to be a part of the change that will come when the 43-year-reign of the Tories is over.

He’s up against MLAs Rachel Notley and David Eggen.
