Billboards with titles such as “Start Me Up”, and “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,” adorned with the Stones’ tongue logo have started to pop up throughout the US. The band have been counting down to #StartMeUpWednesday for the past few days via Twitter and Facebook.
Rolling Stone magazine have previously reported that the 18 date tour will earn the band between $4 million and $5 million per show. With a payday like that, one can only imagine that the ticket prices will be quite steep. There is no news of a European tour as of yet, but the Stones will headline the Glastonbury Festival on June 29, as well as a concert in London’s Hyde Park.
