The wheels on the bus might just stop as the possibility of a school bus strike is in the air.

A strike vote was held and 93% of Teamsters Local 362 voted in favour.

The local is looking for higher wages.

In a release Tony Atkins, Vice-President of the union says, it makes sense because of the high cost of living here.

It hasn’t filed to strike yet, but they only need to give 72-hours notice.

This has put Sparksman School Bus of Fort McMurray at the discussion table to negotiate with the local seriously.

Over 2,000 kids travel back and forth to school every day on the buses.
