Shaw Communications says it plans on laying off 400 employees, or 3% of its employees as it consolidates its operations.
It says the changes are a result of bundling cable, satellite, home phone and internet together to make things more efficient.
The company’s operations will now be divided into two separate units, one that delivers service to residential consumers and the other to business customers.
