Shell Place construction beginning

The construction on Shell Place at MacDonald Island Park is getting underway this week.
Crews will be digging in the ground installing water, sewer and electrical lines so that further construction can take place.
About 200 parking stalls from the main entrance to the Suncor Community Leisure Centre will be affected.
This will continue into further construction.
The underground utility work will last about 7 to 10 days.
MacDonald Island Park is asking the community to use other areas of the lot to park and to use the main entrance or the north entrance right across from the Miskanaw Golf Club Pavilion.
New parking will be incorporated late in 2013 or early 2014.
In the coming weeks the expansion of the Total Fitness Centre will be completed, which was the Island’s first commitment.
