Sheriffs blitz highways 63 & 55; stop 190 km/h speeder

A driver was caught going 190 kilometres an hour on highways south of the city this past weekend.

Alberta Sheriffs say they focused on Highway 63 between Highway 28 and Mariana Lake, as well as Highway 55.

They issued 371 charges, including 2 for impaired driving and 2 drug charges.

They stopped two cars that were going over 110 kilometres an hour in a 50 km/h construction zone.

Another two were stopped going 160 in a 100 zone.
