A newcomer to the oilsands is moving closer to its first non-mining project in the region.
SilverWillow Energy says it’s planning to submit applications for a 12-thousand barrel per day thermal project on its Audet leases next year.
The project would be 110 kilometres north of the city.
It could eventually be expanded to 40 thousand b-p-d.
