Simon Cowell may come off as a a tough guy most times when you’re watching him on shows like “American Idol” or “The X Factor”, but underneath his hardened exterior he’s really just a big softy that really cares about people.
The “X Factor” judge became a real life hero the other day when he and his ex girlfriend, Sinitta, heard a distress call come through his ship from a sinking yacht in St. Tropez on Wednesday. A rep spoke to Gossip Cop about the situation and said that as soon as Simon heard the call for help he sent a boat over to help rescue passengers and bring them to safety.
Sinitta posted a few messages on her Twitter account about what happened and assured followers that everyone was fine. She wrote; “OMG!! Just had a May Day message , 35ft boat sinking.. SC has sent us to help and rescue 9 people on board! Slipstream look alike boat. Everyone ok, noone hurt.captain won’t let boat sink, petrol in sea etc would cause major problems and fines. No tide, so hole plugged.”
The “X Factor” will be returning to Fox on September 12th. ..
