Jan. 23 – 27 is Sports Week in Wood Buffalo!

Three open houses will be held in January for residents and Sport enthusiasts. To voice their ideas and opinions on how the region can ensure maximum participation among Wood Buffalo’s young athletes at the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games and beyond.

Game competitions to be featured at the Western Canada Games are:  Gymnastics, Baseball, basketball, badminton, cycling, golf, judo, rowing, canoe/kayaking, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, beach volleyball and wrestling and the Host Society wants to encourage all young athletes in the region to participate.

The open houses, hosted by the 2015 Wood Buffalo Games Host Society and facilitated by Leadership Wood Buffalo, will be held at MacDonald Island Park:

Monday, Jan. 23:  5 – 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 25:  7 – 9 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 27:  1 – 3 p.m.
