Sustainable Resource Development says the wildfire hazard for our region is currently considered high.
There is one fire burning in our region, known as the Waterways District. It’s near Anzac, and considered under control at 14 hectares in size.
SRD says that they’ve suspended all issued fire permits in the Waterways area within the Forest Protection Area, but there are no fire bans in place for the region. Check out albertafirebans.ca for more details.
