Suncor has announced it’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Alister Cowan will take over that work as of July 21.
Cowan was hired from Husky Energy, where he had worked as CFO since 2008.
“With almost 30 years’ experience leading the finance function for a number of companies in the energy and utilities sectors, Alister has the breadth and depth of experience required to build on Suncor’s strong financial position, support the company’s strategic direction and focus on capital discipline and profitable growth,” said Suncor’s President and CEO Steve Williams in a release.
Cowan has also worked with the British Columbia Hydro & Power Authority, Direct Energy, and TransAlta Corp.
