Suncor production drops to six-month low

Suncor, oilsands project

Planned maintenance at Suncor dropped its production to the lowest level in six months in September.

The company says production averaged 300 thousand barrels per day last month.

That’s down almost 20 percent from August, which had the best numbers of the year.

It was the slowest month since April, when both planned *and* unplanned maintenance dropped production to just 237 thousand b-p-d.

September’s results dropped the year-to-date average to 318 thousand.
