Suncor releases its 2013 Sustainability Report

Suncor’s yearly report on sustainability was released this week, and it talks about its performance and future goals in areas including society, the environment and the econonmy.

By 2015 the oilsands company plans to cut how much fresh water it uses by 12% and cut air emissions by 10%.

It says 80% of it’s suppliers are Canadian and span all 10 provinces including the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.

The oil sands company says in the past 4 years it’s spent $1-billion on goods and services from Aboriginal businesses.

It  says the report’s meant to engage the public.
