Put Those Nuggets in Her Mouth
In January, a homeless woman in Los Angeles was offering blowjobs in exchange for Chicken McNuggets from customers in a McDonald’s drive-thru. Khadijah Baseer, 31, typically hung around the area panhandling for money, but this time her insatiable hunger for McNuggets (or something slightly less crispy) in her mouth got the best of her.
Sharing Wasn’t on the Menu
An incident of brotherly love turned into a grim lesson in sharing when one man stabbed his sibling several times over a McDonald’s brownie in February. Police said the brothers, “Eggs” and Gene, got into an argument when Gene cut the brownie half. Eggs went ballistic and slashed and stabbed his brother in the left forearm, left shoulder, and right wrist with steak knives to show his bro just what he thought about sharing. Eggs was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Fists of Fury
In June, a 46-year-old man punched a 19-year-old girl who worked the drive-thru window at Wendy’s in the face because he didn’t hear her say, “Have a nice day,” to him. The upstanding, fast-food-loving citizen, Duane L. Williams, allegedly pulled up to the window, got peeved when the girl accidentally typed in the wrong order, got even more irate when she didn’t say “Have a nice day,” pulled around, walked in to the store, got even more pissed when he asked for a manager and wasn’t helped, walked back around to the drive-thru window, pushed it open, reached in, and punched the girl in the head. Customers who witnessed the incident in the drive-thru lane reportedly swarmed William’s car after the incident, while the girl wasn’t severely harmed. Williams was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Apparently, the Customer Is Not Always Right
In June, a 28-year-old Del Taco employee in Southern California was arrested for stabbing a customer in the stomach with a knife. The stabbing took place when the customer complained to the employee about his order being wrong.
The Del Taco employee was booked on the suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, while the victim was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
30 Minutes or Less
In November, a Connecticut man named Keith Hinds reportedly stole a Chinese food delivery car. Unsatisfied with the mere theft of a vehicle, Hinds realized he could increase his profits by picking up some slack and finishing the delivery route.
Hinds went on to continue delivering the Chinese food to each stop along the way, so the police, who had been alerted of the theft, simply waited for him to make a delivery at the next stop. Hinds was arrested for larceny and several other drug-related crimes.
