The toughest expense policy in Canada

Transparency is the goal, and from here on out, expenses in travel, meals and hospitality will all be published.

Alberta now has the toughest expense policy in Canada.

It will be a bi-monthly release starting in December.

Premier Alison Redford has already released her expenses since she was first elected in 2008.

In a release she said that she wants to demonstrate a new era of openness in government.

She said it was important to lead by example.

They will be tabled publicly in Alberta’s Legislature Library.

It is for all Ministers and Associate Ministers and their political staff, members of the PC caucus, senior officials appointed by Order in Council and paid from the government, Deputy Ministers and executive managers in the Alberta Public Service.

You’ll be able to find it online, along with receipts.
