Tories to vote Fort McMurray-Athabasca candidate

The Conservative Party is getting set to vote in its Fort McMurray-Athabasca candidate to run in the upcoming federal by-election.

In an e-mail sent to its district members, Saturday, there’ll also be a candidate forum starting at 1PM before the Fort McMurray meeting.

Deputy Reeve of Athabasca County David Yurdiga, and RMWB lawyer Arlan Delisle are the two in the running.

The Tories have had a stronghold on the region since ’68 but in January, MP Brian Jean resigned.

Voters, can vote at any poll, not just the one closest to them.

A date has not yet been set for the by-election.

The Liberal’s voted in Kyle Harrietha, the NDP’s chose Lori McDaniel and the Libertarians picked Tim Moen.

Lac La Biche – McArthu Place, McArthur Room, 10307 100th St, Lac La Biche, AB – Friday, APril 25th, 4PM-7PM

Fort McMurray – Casman Centre, 110 Eymundson Rd, Fort McMurray, AB – Saturday, April 26th, 2PM-8PM
