TransCanada CEO: Oilsands will expand “with or without” Keystone XL

The CEO behind the proposed Keystone XL pipeline is firing back.
Russ Girling told a U.S. news service that if environmental groups do succeed in derailing the project, it won’t stop oil sands expansion.
“If the US doesn’t want the oil, then somebody else will,” he said.
But the Natural Resources Defense Council says there are too many roadblocks to further expansion, with controversy over Enbridge’s proposed northern gateway pipeline to BC.
