There are just two days left to submit nominations for the RMWB’s Citizen Recognition Program designed to honour people doing outstanding work here in our community.
The only requirement is that the nominee has lived in the community for over a year.
Arndis Bildfell with the RMWB told MyMcMurray earlier this month the municipality has received a wide variety of nominations in the past.
“Outstanding emergency services volunteers and staff, all the way up to outstanding community volunteers who just give their time to anything and everything and we have philanthropists that donate their time and finances,” said Bildfell.
Nominations are available online and at your local municipal contact office. The deadline is Wednesday, September 30.
All nominees will be invited to a celebration in January for the Citizen Recognition Program Mayor and Council Toast of Champions where the winners will be announced and honoured.
