U.S. gov’t to review Keystone XL

The U.S. state department is going to review its environmental assessment of the Keystone XL pipeline.
Environmental groups and Democrat politicians requested the review because the department has been accused of a pro-pipeline bias.
The department said in August that the proposed pipeline wouldn’t pose any significant environmental risk.
But TransCanada’s chief lobbyist Paul Elliott worked on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008.
The review will likely delay the Obama administration’s final decision on the pipeline, which they’d hoped to make by the end of the year.
