UPDATE: RMWB snow removal

Wood Buffalo urge motorists to drive according to road conditions, after reporting several collisions in the region the morning of Feb. 12, 2019.

The snow has fallen, and primary and secondary streets need to be cleared again.

On Monday the city will start with areas Downtown,then in order move to Abasand/Grayling, Waterways, Beaconhill, Prairie Creek, Gregoire, Thickwood, Wood Buffalo, Dickensfield, and Timberlea.

It will also remove snow from medians and greenbelts on Thickwood Boulevard and Confederation Way.

The work will be scheduled around more snow fall, and some work may happen during night shifts.

It is continuing as well on its residential clean up that started January 7th.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

North

Timberlea – Began January 7 (90% complete)
Wood Buffalo – Began January 19 and completed January 22
Dickinsfield – Start date of January 21, 2013, Completed January 25th, 2013.
Thickwood – Start date of January 24, 2013, 60% complete.

South

Abasand / Grayling – Began January 9 and completed January 13
Beaconhill – Began January 12 and completed January 14
Prairie Creek – Began January 13 and completed January 15
Waterways – Began January 15 and completed January 16
Downtown – Began January 16 and completed January 19
