Because of the stretch of dry weather Alberta Environment has lifted the regions wildfire hazard to ‘very high’.
It says the forecasted sunny skies and little rain will more than likely see the condition stick around for a while.
*It also says right now there are 2 controlled wildfires burning in the region – but neither one is a threat.
*Fire permits have been suspended and new one won’t be issued until conditions get better.
You’re reminded that any little spark can ignite a wildfire and take precaution.
