Wildfire risk high

Sustainable Resource Development says the wildfire risk in the Waterways district is currently high.
There’s only one active wildfire right now, near Anzac, and it’s under control at 14 hectares.
SRD says all fire permits in the Forest Protection Area have been suspended, but there are no fire bans right now for the region.
