Wood Buffalo is best in Alberta for business

Alberta Venture magazine has named Wood Buffalo the best community for business in Alberta.
The magazine says high demand and high income make the region one of the best places in the world to own and operate a business.
But it also cautions that there are challenges, like inadequate infrastructure and the labour shortage.
The magazine also named the municipality one of its Top Growth Communities, for approving 644 business licences in the past year; a 16 percent jump.
It expects the region’s 4.3 percent unemployment rate to get even lower.
