You Never Know What Will Happen....

Emily Kraus was on her way to a Dave Matthews concert in Hershey, Pa., on Saturday, when she saw someone stranded on the side of the road with a popped bicycle tire.

Imagine her surprise when the rider was revealed to be none other than Dave Matthews himself! She decided to offer him a ride.

“We didn’t know how to make conversation with him, in fact,” Kraus (who was driving with her boyfriend) tells CNN of the musician, who had been out riding and had no phone. “So we were talking about his tour and where he had come from. They had just been in Cincinnati. He’s a very humbled guy.”

“I did not have a cell phone on the bicycle. So I thought, ‘S––,’ ” Matthews, 46, recalled that night at his show at Hersheypark Stadium. “And then a nice lady named Emily rode up in a red car with a bicycle rack on it and gave me a ride on to the gig.”

Not only did Matthews buy the couple dinner, give them front-row seats to the show and sign tickets that said, “Thanks for the ride,” he also gave Kraus a shout out during the show.

“I woke up this morning and I said, ‘Yeah, that really happened yesterday,’ ” she said Sunday with a laugh. “It was surreal. We couldn’t believe it.”

CBS 21 News posted of a photo on Facebook of Kraus and Matthews with the following caption: “A local fan got the surprise of her life when she helped a stranded bicyclist in Hershey yesterday!!”

Underneath the photo, Kraus wrote, “He did sing for me. I’m still in awe! All the planets aligned last night – something greater [than] I’ll ever be able to comprehend. I’ve been listening to him since ’95 – I was only nine years [old] the first time I heard ‘Lover Lay Down.’ First time I’ve ever seen it in concert was last night – wow wow wow!!!”
