A contractor working at Suncor Firebag’s site has died of his injuries, after being struck in the chest by a piece of equipment.
The 55-year-old employee of Flint Transfield Services died yesterday morning in hospital, after being struck by the equipment on Sunday afternoon.
Occupational Health and Safety is investigating. A stop-work order was issued after the incident.
