RCMP seek shoplifter

Theft of Power Tools

On August 9, 2011, the Wood Buffalo RCMP were called to Canadian Tire where a male had walked out of the store without paying for the two power tools (drills) he grabbed off the shelf. The value of the each drill is approximately $300.00.

The male exited the store, where multiple witnesses, observed the male get into a blue car with another male who drove the car away. The first male is described as:

• Caucasian male
• 30 – 35 years old
• short dark hair
• average build

There is no description of the second male.

The Wood Buffalo RCMP would like to remind everyone that you are paying for shoplifters free merchandise. Help stop shoplifting by being aware of other shoppers.

• Do Not try to intercept the shoplifter
• Notify the staff of the store you are in if you suspect a shoplifter
• Note a description; direction of travel; vehicle make, model, and licence plate; and what the thief made off with
