PC leadership candidate Gary Mar is making waves over his support for private healthcare in Alberta.
Mar told the Edmonton Journal that while he wants to have a strong public system, Albertans are already travelling to other provinces to use private clinics.
The Alberta Union of Public Employees came out in opposition to Mar’s comments today.
AUPE President Guy Smith says Albertans want the next premier to focus on the public system, not more private care.
