An Edmonton city councillor says she’s not blaming northern Alberta for the capital’s high murder rate. A CBC article said Kim Krushell claimed northern workers who come to Edmonton may be a problem.
But she says she was taken out of context. Krushell says she was actually talking about a new bar safety initiative when she mentioned workers from the north.
However, city spokesman Jeff Angel has been quoted by Sun media as blaming camp workers from the north for treating Edmonton like “Disneyland”.
