Protesters in favour of keeping the Edmonton City Centre Airport open crashed the Liberal leadership debate, to have their position heard. Ed Schlemko is one of the directors with Envision Edmonton. He says that the province should take control and keep the airport open, if only just for medevac flights.
All of the Liberal leadership candidates in attendance agree that the ECCA should stay open, and it should be handled as a provincial issue.
