Drivers blocking traffic for Tim Hortons getting ticketed

Bylaw officers have been busy over the past couple of days, as the municipality cracks down on drivers who are holding up traffic in the no stopping zones on Thickwood Boulevard, and on Hardin Street.

Acting chief bylaw enforcement officer Rick Kirschner says they have been getting good feedback from other drivers. Bylaw are also making sure that people obey all of the signs around the Tim Hortons, including signs that disallow left turns out of the lineups.

The municipality started to enforce the no stopping zones to deter people from lining up on the road to get to the Tim Hortons drive thru.
