Hit & Run Accident

Wood Buffalo RCMP are currently investigating an incident of hit and run that occurred on Rattlepan Creek Crescent on September 21, 2011 at approximately 12:10 pm. Witnesses reported a large black truck, with a BC licence plate, crashed into an electrical box as well as an attached garage, and took off from the scene. RCMP located a vehicle that matched the description provided, and the damage was consistent with the described collisions. A 26 year old male was taken into custody, without further incident, and faces several Criminal Code charges, including Fail to Remain at the Scene of a Collision and Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. No injuries have been reported and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
