The Keystone XL pipeline extension now has a major union opposing it.
The Communications Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada is calling the pipeline a job-killer, because it would see raw bitumen upgraded in the U.S. instead of Canada.
Union president David Coles says Americans will get the jobs while Albertans will get the pollution.
CEP does represent some oil sands workers.
It’s holding a news conference in Ottawa to urge MPs to oppose the pipeline too.
